Brett Glassey - CEO

I was introduced to steel at a young age at my Grandpa’s fabrication shop. I used to love climbing around on it when my Dad would bring me along to work on a Saturday or a day off of school. I grew to love the smells and sounds of the shop – but had no idea that it might lead to what has become this great company. When I am not at work – I love spending time with my wife and 4 boys. If I could be anywhere in the world at any given time – it would be at Lake Powell with them. I am extremely proud to be part of Glassey SteelWorks and look forward to incredible experiences every day.

Matt Glassey - President

I have been an owner of Glassey SteelWorks since 1999. The first job I did here was the Ogden temple stair install. At that time it was me, Brett, John, and Jeff. I was married to my beautiful wife Kim in 2000, and now have 5 wonderful children. We love to go to Disneyland, Jackson Hole, and Lake Powell on vacations. I am always up for some fun in the sun, and we are starting to get the snow skiing bug also. I went to school to be a pilot, but have found that I love steel much more. Nothing like sitting on the beams while a joist is lowering down in to place, or throwing out a ton of deck. Quite rewarding to go around and show my family all of the buildings we have been involved with.

Dan Keddington - Project manager

I've been with Glassey Steel Works for nearly 15 years. While working with Glassey SteelWorks, I've had the opportunity to work on projects across the western half of the U.S., the Hawaiian Islands, and as far away as Samoa. I love the work and the new friendships that are made along the way. I grew up here in the Salt Lake valley. I'm married with two amazing kids. I love the outdoors, fly fishing, dirt bikes, and street bikes.

I have been with Glassey SteelWorks since October 2021 and love the friendships I have gained since being here! I am a Michigan born, Montana raised, Utah loving, country girl who loves Italian food. My truest blessing in life are my children and grandchildren. "It didn't matter how big our house was, it mattered that there was love in it." Spending time with my animals or playing with my children and grandchildren are my joys in life. On my quiet days I love to curl up and read a good book or watch an action movie! Over the past 11 years I have learned how to rebuild old cars with my boyfriend, and we have even won trophies at car shows! My life journey has brought me to Glassey SteelWorks to become part of their amazing team here and I look forward to my future with them.

Mark pickett - shop supervisor & safety manager

I just recently came to GSW and Utah in June 2018 after living in California for 42 years. After 31 years in the swimming pool service and repair industry, It was time for a change. I was brought on board to be their first full time safety manager. It’s been an interesting ride so far learning a new industry and working with the good people at GSW. My wife and I have been married for 43 years and have been blessed with 4 wonderful sons and now 4 grandchildren. We are “empty nesters” and our family is spread throughout the country. In the past we have loved to travel especially to Hawaii. Now our destinations are to see our grandchildren on the west and east coasts. When I have time I love to play golf and basketball especially with any of my boys. It’s fun getting to know Utah again since I used to live here for 8 years during junior and high school and a couple years at U. of U. It’s also good to be close to other family members that live here.
